I have been anxiously awaiting Jeni and Patrick’s wedding all year long. There is something about winter weddings, December in particular, that are really special. I don’t know what it is exactly. Maybe it’s that time of year, with all the lights and snow. The latter was definitely not present for their wedding however. They had a mild high of 43 and sunny for their Wisconsin winter wedding. Since I loathe shooting in the cold, I was extremely happy with this :) Shooting portraits outside was easy-peasy in that kind of weather. Jeni and Patrick chose a very fun group for their bridal party, that’s for sure! We got to shoot at St. Sebastian’s Catholic Church for their ceremony. We shot a wedding a couple years ago there and it has to be one of my favorite church’s in Milwaukee. The Christmas lights in the background made their photos look so magical! We were with Jeni and Patrick up until midnight at their reception held at the Rotunda(our first time there! We loved shooting there and the staff is really friendly!). The newlyweds got to ring in the New Year with all of their loved ones. What is better than that?
Huge thanks to Jeni and Patrick for having us tag along on your big day :) Congrats!
Love that Jeni’s brother was the “Man of Honor”. So sweet!
The bond that Jeni and her brother have is very touching.
Loved the yummy looking ice cream bar they had instead of cake. The guests raved about it!
A highlight of the night was the bridal party doing the shuffle dance from LMFAO’s Party Rock Anthem.
