Riverbend Kohler Wedding – Emily + Martin

When Jonathan and I first met Emily and Martin we fell in love with their story and them as a couple. We knew their wedding was going to be amazing but didn’t know how amazing until the day of. When we first walked into Riverbend in Kohler we were greeted with the aroma of fresh florals. The smell of so many flowers wafting in the air while the staff were busy setting up the decor and tent area for the reception later on. Emily and Martin chose Riverbend for their getting ready and first look portion of the day. While shooting their portraits outside after the first look, we all noticed two little fawns prancing around the property of Riverbend. Seriously, that place is like a fairytale!Their heartfelt catholic wedding ceremony was held at Holy Name Parish in Shebogyan. Even though Emily and Martin chose a first look before their ceremony, Martin still felt all the emotions as if he was seeing Emily for the first time that day. Really special thing to witness!After the ceremony everyone headed back to Riverbend for portraits and the reception. The tent was custom made to fit Emily and Martin’s vision for their party. They really wanted an open feeling for the reception. They wanted their guests to really soak in the beauty that Riverbend has to offer, so they opted for a clear tent with draping and a chandelier. Instead of a cake they chose a “cheese cake” and had their bridal party join in on “cutting the cheese”! Emily and Martin surprised their guests with a fireworks display after the first dances and shortly after danced with their guests to “Wagon Wheel” which is a family favorite of Emily’s.
