Wedding 2 of 2 of Memorial day weekend. Another perfect wedding! Both weddings I shot over the weekend were very GREEN and I love that. Samantha and Dan had their ceremony and reception at the Schlitz Audubon Nature Center in Milwaukee. You may remember their engagement session back in January. Their bird themed wedding was perfect since their love of birds brought them together. Dan and Samantha’s smiles were contagious;they were happy and giggly all day. They truly are so perfect for each other.
Some things I loved about their wedding:
– Just having their wedding at the Schlitz. It has to be my favorite venue, ever!
– The natural feel of the wedding was wonderful. They had wildflowers everywhere.
– The adorable cake.
– The potted plants as centerpieces. The guests got to take them home with them too.
– The honey jars as favors. The honey is from the bee hives that Samantha’s father keeps.
– Samantha and Dan surprised everyone with a display of live birds-of-prey during cocktail hour. All the guests loved seeing all the birds, including a Bald Eagle. How freaking cool is that?
